Master Of My Fate colt to soar at Two Year Old Sale

Boland Stud will be offering some exceptionally well credentialed two-year-olds at the upcoming August Two Year Old Sale. One such colt is the Master Of My Fate colt out of high-class producer Land Of Hope. This colt is a half-brother to five winners, notably Listed Java Handicap winner Fulcrum, Gr.3 Winter Guineas third Vice Admiral and the stakes placed, six time winner Master Landing. The latter was sired by seven times South African champion Jet Master, whose numerous high-class progeny also include the aforementioned Master Of My Fate.

Equus Champion – Vardy

The colt in question’s dam Land Of Hope (Badger Land) is a is a three-parts sister to the Badger Land sired Broodmare Of The Year in 2011, Sunshine Lover. The latter, dam of four black type horses in total, made history when producing a pair of Gr.1 Cape Fillies Guineas winning daughters in the form of Captain’s Lover (Also a subsequent Equus Champion and winner of France’s Gr.3 Prix Du Pin) and Ebony Flyer. The latter, yet another top-class runner sired by Jet Master), not only won the Cape Fillies Guineas, but also triumped in the Gr.1 Klawervlei Majorca Stakes, Gr.1 SA Fillies Sprint and Gr.2 Odessa Stud Fillies Championship. Ebony Flyer, already the dam of three winners including exported Gr.3 Cape Classic third Cot Campbell and the very useful Captain Of Tortuga, rates as a full-sister to the top-class broodmare Cupid -dam of both the Adam Marcus trained Equus Champion, and Gr.1 L’Ormarins Queen’s Plate winner Vardy and Listed East Cape Oaks heroine Eros’s Girl. The colt in question is bred on the same Master Of My Fate/Badger Land cross as Gr.1 Premiers Champion Stakes winner Sentbydestiny and East Cape Derby victress American Princess.
