This illustrious horse, who amassed over R1.853 million in earnings, triumphed in the 2015 Gr.2 Selangor Cup, besting even the esteemed Hong Kong campaigner Nassa, among others. This exceptional filly traces her roots to the accomplished mare My Lady Bluff, a winner herself and a half-sister to Gr.1 Gold Cup champion Major Bluff and Gr.3 East Cape Derby victor Key Bluff. Together, My Lady Bluff and Major Bluff racked up an impressive 22 victories, earning more than R2 million in prize money.

The granddam, Bluffit, a stakes-placed half-sister to Gr.1 Administrators Champion Futurity winner Bluffing, adds even more luster to this pedigree. Bluffit was sired by the exceptional broodmare sire Dancing Champ, whose progeny have produced an array of stars, including Gr.1 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile winner and successful sire, Success Express, and former South African Horse Of The Year, Yard-Arm. Further down the lineage, you’ll find the full-sisters Taima Bluff and Tecla Bluff, both champions in their own right. Taima Bluff, South Africa’s Champion 3YO Filly of 1979, and Tecla Bluff, the country’s Horse Of The Year in 1982, captured the Gr.1 Cape Of Hope Paddock Stakes. Taima Bluff added to her impressive resume with victories in the Gr.1 Cape Derby and Gr.1 Natal Oaks, while Tecla Bluff secured a historic win in the 1983 Gr.1 Rothmans July. Tecla Bluff, in turn, gave birth to the outstanding broodmare Teclafields, who produced three Gr.1 winners, including champion filly Circle Of Life and Gr.1 J&B Met winner Zebra Crossing. Circle Of Life, a six-time stakes race winner, including the 2000 Gr.1 Garden Province Stakes, has since become a top-class broodmare herself, producing four black type horses, including Gr.1 The Premier’s Champions Challenge winner Deo Juvente. The esteemed One World, a 2020 Gr.1 Sun Met winner and Equus Champion, serves as the sire of this exceptional filly. He is the son of the multiple champion sire Captain Al, renowned for siring a host of exceptional fillies. With an impressive list of champions to his name, Captain Al’s legacy continues through the likes of Captain’s Ransom, All Is Secret, Carry On Alice, and many more.
