Boland Stud, as Agent, will be offering a filly by hugely promising young Redoute’s Choice son Wylie Hall at the 2019 KZN Yearling Sale.
This truly classically bred filly hails from an outstanding female line, and her multiple Gr.1 winning sire is currently one of South Africa’s most promising young stallions –making this a must-see filly!
This well bred filly was produced by dual winning mare Lemon Tea, whose three winning siblings include brilliant Gr.2 SA Oaks winner Secret Potion, a millionaire who recently caught the eye when finishing third, behind Equus Champion Return Flight, in the Gr.2 Gerald Rosenberg Stakes. Secret Potion holds an entry for the 2019 Gr.1 Vodacom Durban July.
Lemon Tea herself was produced by the Parade Leader mare Lemon Drop Girl, a daughter of Gr.3 Cape Of Good Hope Nursery winner Naughty Princess. The well related Lemon Drop Girl is a half-sister to high-class stakes horses, notably the graded winners Heat Of The Night (also a winner in North America), and Naughty Prince.
Further back, this is the family of Argentine champions Eclipse West and Just In Case, as well as former high class South African performer Jazzy, who captured the Gr.2 Gallant Bloom Handicap in North America.
Wylie Hall, the sire of this classy filly, was a superb athlete who finished first past the post in the 2014 Gr.1 Vodacom Durban July and won both the Gr.1 President’s Champions Challenge and Gr.1 SA Derby. The son of multiple champion sire Redoute’s Choice (also sire of top sires Snitzel and Not A Single Doubt) got off to an explosive start with his first 2yo runners this season headed by Gr.3 Protea Stakes winner (and Gr.2 SA Nursery runner up) Twilight Moon, and debut winners Wily Lass and De La Cruz.
