Lot 216 – Polychromatic x Master Of My Fate

MASTER PLAN RELATIVE BRED FOR THE CLASSICS!

Boland Stud’s quality draft at the KZN Yearling Sale this year include some youngsters from exceptional female lines, and one of the best bred of this high class consignment is the Master Of My Fate colt out of the regally bred mare Polychromatic.

The latter, a granddaughter of champion sire and broodmare sire Storm Cat, is a winning full-sister to Listed Easter Handicap winner Great Rumpus (who earned over R500 000) and a half-sister to exported Gr.1 Champions Cup winner Master Plan and to Gr.2 Gerald Rosenberg Stakes winner Polyphonic –who banked over R700 000. The brilliant Master Plan, who won or placed in six graded races while banking over R1 000 000 in prize money, was sired by seven times champion sire Jet Master –who is also the sire of rising sire star Master Of My Fate.

Polychromatic’s dam Princess Polly, in turn, is a half-sister to Equus Champion Young Rake and stakes winner Rubirosa –who were sired by Master Of My Fate’s grandsire Rakeen. This makes Boland Stud’s blue blooded Master Of My Fate colt out of Polychromatic not only very closely related to Champions Cup winner Master Plan but also to multiple Gr.1 winner and Gr.1 Vodacom Durban July runner up Young Rake!

Polychromatic’s dual Gr.1 winning sire Black Minnaloushe has made his mark as a broodmare sire already and is damsire of New Zealand Gr.1 winner Stolen Dance, as well as the likes of group/graded stakes winners Streets Of Avalon (Gr.3 Victoria Handicap), Bangkok (Gr.3 Valedictory Stakes), Amarula (Gr.2 Hawke’s Bay Guineas), Little Wonder (Gr.3 King’s Plate), and Trump (Gr.3 Gunsynd Classic).

Dual Gr.2 winner Master Of My Fate has made a smashing start to his stud career and currently ranks as one of South Africa’s most exciting young stallions. Recently responsible for a graded stakes double, Master Of My Fate’s first two crops have unleased a plethora of stakes winners including Gr.2 KRA Guineas winner Twist Of Fate, brilliant Gr.2 SA Fillies Nursery winner Basadi Faith, and Derby Trial hero Gift For The Gap. (He is also the sire of promising 2yo Master Of Illusion beaten just a short head when second in the Gr.3 Godolphin Barb Stakes).

This colt has been bred on a similar cross to the one that produced Gr.1 winners Master Plan, Young Rake and Cirillo!
