Lot 246 – Persian Silk x Rafeef
Rafeef filly to shine at Two Year Old Sale
Eugene Freeman’s Boland Stud will be offering a blue blooded filly from the first crop of exciting young Redoute’s Choice sire Rafeef at this year’s Emperors Palace National Two Year Old Sale.
Winner of six of only ten starts, including the 2017 Gr.1 Computaform Sprint (where he beat champions Talktothestars and Carry On Alice), Rafeef has already more than made his presence felt in the sales rings across South Africa. The own-brother to Equus Champion Mustaaqeem had a first-crop yearling make R2 200 000 at the 2020 Cape Premier Yearling Sale, while Rafeef yearlings fetched up to R700 000 at the Emperors Palace National Yearling Sale earlier this year. The son of South African Horse Of The Year National Colour has a very well related filly in Boland’s draft. This filly is out of the winning Captain Al mare Persian Silk -a half-sister to Gr.1 Golden Horseshoe winner Forest Indigo and East Cape Derby runner up Drop Kick.

Oleksandra – Gr.1 Winner
This filly has been bred on a similar cross to the one that produced Gr.1 winners The Autumn Sun, Simple Verse and Diamondsandrubies!
Oleksandra – Gr.1 Winner
