Boland Stud will be offering a very classy draft at this year’s November Two Year Old Sale, with one of the consignment’s stars being the Querari filly whose dam is a full-sister to a Gr.1 Champions Cup winner! A son of champion sprinter Oasis Dream (whose unbeaten son Native Trail recently won the Gr.1 Goffs Vincent O’Brien National Stakes), German champion Querari has proved a consistently sire of top-class horses since retiring to stud in 2011.
South Africa’s Leading Sire of 2YOs in 2018-2019, Querari is already the sire of more than 50 black type horses with his progeny headed by Gr.1 winning champion Rio Querari, Gr.1 winning two-year-old Querari Falcon, and such graded stakes winning millionaires as Kangaroo Jack, Head Honcho, and Monks Hood. From the powerful Green Desert male line, Querari also has a very exciting crop of three-year-olds headed by Gr.2 Prosport International Debutante winner Maryah and stakes winning fillies Homely Girl and Maria Querol.

Boland Stud will be offering a daughter of this top-class stallion at the November Sale. The filly in question is out of the winning Mogok mare Pretty Woman, herself a full-sister to Gr.1 Champions Cup winner, and Gr.1 Vodacom Durban July third-placegetter, Orbison. In turn, Pretty Woman is herself out of Blue Bayou -a winning Foveros full-sister to G2 SA Oaks winner Fast Break, herself the granddam of G3 Tony Ruffel Stakes winner Mount Hood. This is also the family of such high-class fillies as Comet Chaser, Fairyinthewoods, Tarn Fairy and East Cape champion Yoshie-to name but three!
