Lot 69 – Captivating Party x Captain Of All

Lot 69 - Captain Of All ex Captivating Party

Captain Of All filly bred to fly

Boland Stud’s draft for the 2020 Emperors Palace National Yearling Sale includes a number of well bred yearlings, but few have speedier pedigrees than the Captain Of All filly out of Captivating Party. One of the very best sons of multiple champion sire Captain Al, Captain Of All was South Africa’s Champion Sprinter of 2014-2015, during a season where he romped to a 4.5 length win in the Gr.1 Mercury Sprint, carried 60kgs to victory in the Gr.1 Tsogo Sun Sprint and captured the Gr.2 Diadem Stakes at Kenilworth.

Trained by Dennis Drier, Captain Of All made an explosive start to his stud career, and ended 2018-2019 as South Africa’s Leading First Crop Sire by earnings. His impressive first crop is headed by the Sean Tarry trained Gr.2 TAB/Betting World Dingaans winner Shango and fellow stakes winners Captain Anne Bonny (East Cape Fillies Nursery), Springs Of Carmel (The Citizen Ruffian Stakes) and What You Are (Lenasia Rising Sun Devon Air Stakes). The triple Gr.1 winner has a cracking filly on offer in Boland’s National Sale draft, with this filly closely related to the Captain Al sired Coral Colour –herself dam of Gr.2 SA Fillies Nursery winner Basadi Faith.

A three-parts sister to two winners, this filly is out of a four time winning own sister to “Flying Filly”, and former South African Horse Of The
Year National Colour. One of the fastest fillies ever seen on the South African turf, National Colour won seven of ten starts in this country,
including the GR.1 Computaform Sprint, GR.1 Mercury Sprint, and GR.1 SA Fillies Sprint, before going on to win in Dubai and finish second in Britain’s Gr.1 Coolmore Nunthorpe Stakes.

The grey daughter of Champagne Stakes winner Rainbow Cake has been equally prolific at stud, producing GR.1 Computaform Sprint winning sire Rafeef and the latter’s champion full-brother, and GR1 SA Nursery winner, Mustaaqeem. National Assembly, broodmare sire of Boland’s filly, is a superb broodmare sire whose daughters have produced 36 stakes winners thus far, including boom sire, and Equus Champion, Vercingetorix, Gr.1 Allan Robertson Fillies Championship winner Happy Valentine, champion Laverna, and the above mentioned pair of Rafeef and Mustaaqeem. This filly has been bred on a similar cross to the one that produced Gr.1 winner Top Seller!

Eugene loves this well bred filly, and says of her, “She is stunning”
