The latter, a triple Equus Champion and four time G1 winner, has made an explosive start to his stud career and is currently South Africa’s Leading First Crop Sire.

What A Winter, a son of champion sire Western Winter from the same family as sire legends Hyperion and Sir Tristram, has been represented by eight first crop winners at the time of writing –headed by brilliant G3 Cape Nursery winner Dutch Philip, unbeaten stakes winning filly Magical Wonderland and Listed East Cape Nursery winner Fort Winter.

His chestnut son on offer here is a half-brother to a winner, and is out of a winning Caesour daughter of G1 Allan Robertson Fillies Championship winner Silver Arc, whose stakes placed, seven time winning half-sister produced CTS Million Dollar winner and R8 million plus earner Illuminator.

Silver Arc is also the second dam of this season’s very smart 2yo filly Star Profile, who has contested all of the G2 SA Fillies Nursery, G3 Pretty Polly and Listed Ruffian Stakes this season.

Every dam on the page won at least once and this is also the family of the brilliant racemare Stormy Appeal, a 14 time stakes winner and dam of high class stakes winners Fort Petersburg and Stormy Coast.

Caesour is a well established broodmare sire, with his daughters having produced G1 winners Emerald Cove, Royal Bencher and champion Dancewiththedevil, as well as this season’s high class stakes winners Attenborough (by What A Winter’s sire Western Winter) and Doosra.
