Already named Tupelo Honey, she is out of the winning Fort Wood mare Harolds Gold –with the latter having been represented by six runners to date –all of whom have won.
An own sister to Gr.2 SA Fillies Classic winner Cover Look (dam of British Gr.3 winner Shipmaster), Harolds Gold is out of the outstanding racemare Fanciful. The latter won seven including the Gr.1 Bar Valley Classic and ranked among the leaders of her generation.

This is also the family of stakes winning fillies Agra, Her Way and KZN Fillies Guineas second School Assembly. Tupelo Honey is bred on a similar cross to Duke Of Marmalade’s high class runners Simple Verse, group winners Marmelo and Traffic Jam, and Irish Oaks/ Yorkshire Oaks runner up Venus De Milo.
Fort Wood, broodmare sire of lot 186, is one of the best sires and broodmare sires ever to stand at stud in South Africa. A multiple champion broodmare sire, his daughters have produced 14 G1 winners, including champions Capetown Noir, Cherry On The Top and Marinaresco.
