Gimmethegreenlight filly has a lot of appeal

Boland Stud, As Agent, will be offering a filly by one of the hottest stallions currently at stud in South Africa.

More Than Ready’s Gr.1 L’Ormarins Queen’s Plate winning son Gimmethegreenlight, South Africa’s Leading First Season Sire of 2015-2016, has had a break out season in 2020-2021, and, at the time of writing, topped both South Africa’s Leading Sires premiership and South Africa’s Leading Sires of 3YOS table for 2020-2021. Gimmethegreenlight, whose multiple Gr.1 winning son Yulong Prince is set to stand his first season at stud in Australia this year, has been responsible for nine black type winners, at the time of writing, including impressive Gr.1 H F Oppenheimer Horse Chestnut Stakes/Gr.1 4Racing Champions Challenge victor Got The Greenlight.

Already the sire of nearly 70 stakes horses, Gimmethegreenlight also has some exciting two-year-olds this season including Gr.3 Cape Of Good Hope Nursery victor Cosmic Highway and Gr.3 Kenilworth Fillies Nursery heroine Gimme Dat, to name but two. Not surprisingly, his progeny’s ongoing success on the track, has led to Gimmethegreenlight yearlings becoming hot commodities in the sales ring, with Gimmethegreenlight responsible for this year’s sales topper at the National Yearling Sale.

Boland Stud will be offering a very well bred filly by Gimmethegreenlight to the 2021 KZN Yearling Sale, with the filly in question a direct descendant of Cape Fillies Guineas winner, and outstanding broodmare Party Time. This filly is a half-sister to three winners-including the five time winning dam of last season’s Gr.2 Pospack SA Fillies Nursery winner Springs Of Carmel, and her granddam, is a speedy Gr.3 Southern Cross Stakes winning daughter of outstanding broodmare sire Dancing Champ. This is also the family of US Gr.3 winner Consumer Credit -who, like Gimmethegreenlight, was sired by the outstanding More Than Ready!
