Boland Stud to offer a “Masterful” filly at National Sale

Boland Stud will be offering another outstanding string at this year’s National Yearling Sale, with their draft made up of yearlings sired by such high-class stallions as Elusive Fort, Gimmethegreenlight, Master Of My Fate, Querari, Trippi and champion sire elect Vercingetorix. One of the most attractive lots in this draft is the lovely grey daughter of the increasingly successful Master Of My Fate. Second Leading Sire in South Africa by stakes last season, Master Of My Fate has already come up with a host of high-class performers including G1 winning fillies Sentbydestiny and Zarina, and Equus Champion Tempting Fate.

The son of Jet Master’s current flagbearers include this season’s very smart three-year-old Zapatillas, and such promising two-year-old as Miss Marguerite (runner up in the BSA Cape Yearling Sale Cup) Power Broker, Question Master, and Street Outlaw. Boland Stud will be offering a daughter of the imposing Master Of My Fate at the National Sale this year.

Kilindini

Gr.1 Winner – Kilindini

This filly, who is out of the winning Jallad mare Kiss And Ride has a fascinating pedigree, with both her sire and her granddam Kiss And Fly sired by legendary South African racehorse and sire Jet Master. Seven times champion sire, and already a multiple leading sire of broodmares, the mighty Jet Master is broodmare sire of numerous high-class gallopers including champions Rainbow Bridge, Hawwaam, Edict Of Nantes and Lady In Black, to name but a few. Jet Master’s stakes placed daughter Kiss And Fly has also enjoyed notable success as a broodmare, with her seven winners headed by exported G1 Cape Guineas winner Kilindini and The Republic Cup victor Heir Line.

The regally bred Kiss And Fly, in turn, was produced by multiple G1 winning champion Kiss Of Peace -who also ranks as the dam of G3 Matchem Stakes winner Mason Dixon, and the third dam of this season’s G3 London News Stakes winner Second Base. (Kiss Of Peace also ranks as the granddam of the Jet Master sired stakes winner Top Jet). Further back, this is the family of the Boland Stud reared star sprinter and top-class sire Harry Hotspur.
