Dynasty filly has plenty of upside

Dynasty is one of the best thoroughbred stallions bred in South Africa in recent years. The former July winner, and Horse Of The Year, is currently responsible for more than 70 stakes winners, and 120 black type horses overall, including such stand out champions as Futura, Irish Flame and Legislate -all of whom were named Horse Of The Year in his respective season.

Dynasty proved as effective a sire of fillies as he was of colts, with his daughters headed by Equus Champions Beach Beauty, Bela-Bela, Just Sensual and Lady In Black, as well as Gr.1 World Sports Betting Cape Fillies Guineas victress Front And Centre, Gr.1 Woolavington 2000 heroine Lady Of The House and the graded stakes winning fillies Alexis, Demanding Lady, and Smiling Blue Eyes -to name but a few. Boland Stud As Agent, will be offering a Dynasty filly (Lot 177) at this year’s National Sale. Bred on the same Dynasty/Jet Master cross as champion filly Lady In Black, Met third Sovereign Spirit, and Gr.2 Cape Racing Peninsula Handicap winner Nexus, this filly is out of the four time winning Jet Master mare Pelican Point.

The latter has already come up with a pair of smart winners, from only three runners thus far, in the form of Dahlia Plate runner up, and four time winner, Turbo (by Pathfork) and multiple winner Mary Lee (by Philanthropist), and Pelican Point’s latest yearling offers a notable sire strike in the form of Dynasty. Pelican Point herself is out of a winning daughter of high-class sprinter West Man (who himself came from the same family as Dynasty did), and her granddam, Miss Hot Spot, was a stakes winning daughter of top sprinter and sire Harry Hotspur. Champion broodmare sire, Jet Master is the damsire of such notable Gr.1 winners as Hawwaam, Rainbow Bridge, Kilindini, Silvano’s Pride, Vardy, Edict Of Nantes, and Lady In Black as well as the magnificent Dynasty filly out of Pelican Point.
