A half-brother (Lot 22) to one of South Africa’s fastest racemares, with this blue blooded colt hailing from a truly exceptional female line.
A son of Dubawi’s very promising sire son, and dual Gr.1 winner, Erupt, Lashlaroo is a half-brother to three smart winners including the very speedy True To Life. The latter recently accounted for eight graded stakes winners when she finished a close up second, to the outstanding Captain’s Ransom, in the 2022 Gr.1 South African Fillies Sprint. True To Life, who has banked more than R1.127 million in prize money, has long been established as one of South Africa’s top sprinters, with the mare’s eight career victories (which have come from 1000m to 1400m) including triumphs in both the 2019 Gauteng Tourism Authority Magnolia Handicap and the 2021 Gr.3 Wilgerbosdrift Tommy Hotspur Handicap.

Not only is Mina Salaam the daughter of an outstanding sire, she is a half-sister to Gr.1 Premier’s Champions Challenge winner Deo Juvente, and her dam is former South African champion, and Gr.1 Garden Province Stakes heroine, Circle Of Life. The latter, in turn, is a half-sister to two other Gr.1 winners in the form of African Lion (Champions Cup) and Zebra Crossing (J&B Met) respectively. Lashlaroo’s Gr.1 Juddmonte Grand Prix De Paris/Gr.1 Pattison Canadian International Stakes winning sire Erupt has made a fine start with his early runners headed, thus far, by Gr.3 Protea Stakes/Listed Storm Bird Stakes winner Karangetang.
