Lot 299 – Bermuda Sloop x Master Of My Fate

“Beautiful big, strong, awesome looking filly!”

Master Of My Fate filly is a top prospect

Boland Stud’s 2019 National Yearling Sales draft is full of exciting and classy future prospects, and few are more so than the Master Of My Fate filly (Lot 299) out of Bermuda Sloop.

Master Of My Fate was a top performer, when trained by Dennis Drier, whose six wins, from just eight starts, included both the Gr.2 Premier Trophy and Gr.2 Peninsula Handicap.

The handsome bay, who strongly resembles his champion sire Jet Master, has made an excellent start to his stud career. South Africa’s Leading First Crop Sire (by winners) in 2017-2018, Master Of My Fate’s two first crops have produced the likes of multiple graded stakes winning millionaire Twist Of Fate, Kenyan classic winner Silverstone Air, and the exciting two-year-olds Basadi Faith and Purple Persuasion –to name just a few!

Master Of My Fate recently enjoyed a feature race double when Basadi Faith and his talented son Gift For The Gap won the Listed Ruffian Stakes and Listed Derby Trial at Turffontein on the same day!

Boland’s Master Of My Fate filly is out of a five time winning daughter (Bermuda Sloop) of champion sire Captain Al –whose daughters have already produced such graded stakes winners as Same Jurisdiction, Potent Power, William The Silent, Flash Drive, Hot Affair and Ghaalla. The well-bred Bermuda Sloop is a sister in blood to Gr.1 Premier’s Champion Stakes winner Exhilaration (by Captain Al).

This is an exceptional family, responsible for such top class gallopers as Malteme (Gr.1 Summer Cup), Power King (Gr.1 Vodacom Durban July), and champion filly Wendywood (Gr.1 Woolavington 2000). This filly, also bred on similar lines to Malteme, is bred on the same Master Of My Fate/Captain Al cross as the very smart Basadi Faith, an impressive winner of her first two starts. This filly has also been bred on a similar cross to the one that produced Gr.1 winners Little Miss Magic, Yorker, Thunder Dance and Malteme.

Eugene says of this filly, “She is a beautiful big, strong, awesome looking filly!”
