Her lineage traced back to the Gr.1 Golden Slipper winner Marauding, making her the first filly to capture the Australian Triple Crown for 2-year-olds. In 1992, Burst achieved a feat of unparalleled excellence, clinching victory in the Gr.1 Golden Slipper, Gr.1 Sires’ Produce Stakes, and Gr.1 Champagne Stakes.

With legendary sire Sir Tristram in her pedigree, Burst went on to earn over AUS$2,000,000 during her illustrious career, competing at the highest level and achieving victories and top-three finishes in no less than eight Gr.1 races. Her legacy extended to her progeny, where she produced a lineage of winners, including Gr.1 Allan Robertson Championship winner Vernichey, Australian Gr.2 victor Eclair Choice, and Singapore champion Be Bee.

Last Winter’s dam, the Gr.1 Cape Fillies Guineas winner Field Flower, adds depth and quality to this exceptional lineage. Field Flower’s lineage traces directly to Miss Disco, a 10-time race winner, including the Test Stakes, and the dam of the eight-time Leading Sire in North America, Bold Ruler—an enduring symbol of excellence in the racing world. A Bit Chilly’s dam, Cosmic Burst, a three-time winning daughter of the speed sensation and emerging broodmare sire Var, further elevates the colt’s potential. Var’s daughters have consistently produced remarkable offspring, including Australian Gr.1 winning sire In The Congo and South African Gr.1 winners Alesian Chief, Master Archie, and Thunderstruck. Cosmic Burst is a half-sister to Gr.3 Champagne Stakes runner-up Sonic Burst, with their bloodline tracing back to First Burst, a regally bred daughter of legendary sire Danehill and the aforementioned Burst.
